Hi my name is Natasha. I'm 13 years old and I have had JRA for 1 year. I have it in my back, both wrists, ankles, hand and fingers, both feet, chest wall, neck, knees, shoulders, and elbows. I have a very severe case. I miss lots of days of school because I can't sit on my bottom or my back hurts. I can't write because my fingers are so messed up! My hands are crippled because of it. I also have asthma and a lung disease. I have been totally different ever since. I can't play basketball anymore because I can't run or I'm in pain. I feel like I'm losing my friends because I'm never at school. It's hard, I must admit – but I never give up hope. If you are feeling alone and are new to having arthritis, trust me you not alone! I felt the same way, but there are many of us out here sharing your feelings.
