When I was in kindergarten, I noticed that my finger was hurting and swollen. I went to the doctor, who thought that it might be injured. We tried taping it and taking medicine, but it stayed swollen for many weeks. Finally, my doctor sent me and my mom to a rheumatologist who told us that I had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. I still have problems with my fingers, and sometimes my knees and wrists, but I've learned to get along pretty well. I have to remember to take my medicine every day and that helps.
