One of the suggestions that has really helped me has been a rice sock. I took a pair of new tube socks, filled one with long grain rice, knotted it and put the second sock over it, knotted at the end. I microwave for 45 - 60 seconds then apply it to whatever area is bothering me the most. This is helpful with the RA pain I have been dealing with for 10 years.
One of these days I will try with cherry pits or flax seed.

I joined a contempo spa that offers hyrdration, hyrdromassage and sauna. these all offer heat. The hyrdration I lay in a tube and steam to 114 degrees. The sauna 130 degrees. the hyrdro massage is a like a water bed that offers heat. all are about 20 minutes of service. I do use a stool to help getting in/out off/on these beds. And this is the only thing that does help lift my spirits when im just feeling really down. Heat is wonderful.

I bought some wonderful heating bags made from wheat!
i tried the ones made from rice and they just got wet when you put them in the microwave.
So if you are handy with a sewing machine they are the best. I take one with me when I go to work in the morning in the car and it makes all the diffence.
Good Luck everyone!
