Fight Arthritis Pain

The Arthritis Foundation believes that when it comes to fighting osteoarthritis (OA) pain, moving is the best medicine.

That message comes through loud and clear in a series of internet, TV, print and radio spots created in conjunction with the Ad Council. The humorous spots help spread the word: There’s a simple way to fight the pain of osteoarthritis – get moving and lose weight to if you need to. Click here to see the ads.

If you have OA and you’re in the mood to get moving, check out the Fight Arthritis Pain website. You’ll find information on pain and OA, along with tips for increasing physical activity, eating more healthfully and talking to your doctor. There’s even a tool to help you find Arthritis Foundation fitness programs, which include land and water exercise, in your area.

GET MOVING! I wish I could! The more I try to exercise and get moving the more pain I am in to the point where it is so intense and so unbearable I can hardly move! I am 70 years young and have always been active until the onset of osteoathritis in my right hip and knee. Exercise to me works the other way, for some reason it makes my osteoathritis worse instead of better. I only wish I knew why!!
