7.5 to 30 mg in a single weekly dose.

Abdominal discomfort; chills; dizziness; fever; general feeling of illness; hair loss; headache; increased sun sensitivity; itching; liver problems; low blood counts; mouth sores; nausea; rash; shortness of breath; yeast infections.


Special Instructions

  • Avoid aspirin and other salicylates.
  • Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication.
  • Your doctor may prescribe folic acid to reduce side effects.
  • Minimize exposure to sunlight and wear sunscreen.

  • Your doctor should order periodic blood and urine tests to check for unwanted effects. Before taking any DMARD, tell your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant.
