A SWOP standard proof must accompany all digital ad material. (Color match cannot be guaranteed on materials submitted without a SWOP proof.)

Two-color & Four-color Advertising

• Four-color images must be in CMYK mode in TIFF or EPS format
• PMS colors must be converted to CMYK
• Recommended screen: 133 lines
• Two-color maximum total density: 160%
• Four-color maximum total density: 290%
• No screen color to exceed 85%

Black & White Advertising

• Recommended screen: 133 lines
• Black-and-white maximum total density: 85%

• Printing: Offset
• Binding: Saddle Stitched
• Publication Trim Size: 8" x 10 1/2"

Keep live matter 1/2" from all sides that bleed. Perfect alignment of type or design across gutter of two facing pages cannot be guaranteed. Only advertisements fitting the below specified sizes will be accepted.

Ad Size Specifications
Materials for standard size advertisements should measure as follows:
(Bleed sizes allow for 1/8" trim at top, bottom and one side)

Special Space Units
All special space units (such as inserts, multiple-page advertisements requiring special positioning or gatefolds) must be discussed in advance with the publisher to determine mechanical feasibility and rates.
