Shipping Inserts Quad/Graphics has newly acquired equipment to warehouse work-in-progress materials. This system is a very efficient way of storing product and provides the best method for assuring the quality of the product in storage. So that we may fully utilize this equipment, product being delivered must meet the following requirements:
Each skid and/or carton should be clearly marked on all four sides with the following information:
** IMPORTANT: Please do not rubber band or shrink-wrap lifts. Inserts should be packaged on skids in 3" lifts (to avoid curling) with layer sheets, then banded and wrapped. Scheduled Delivery Appointments All product shipments MUST be accompanied with a six-character Quad/Graphics JOB NUMBER (or the title and issue of the magazine) on the Bill of Lading. All deliveries MUST have a scheduled appointment with Quad/Graphics Inventory Department at least 24 hours in advance to ensure delivery to proper plant. The appointment number must appear on the Bill of Lading. If the supplier chooses not to make the appointment, they must state on the Bill of Lading our appointment policy and provide the carrier with a Quad/Graphics Job Number, or the title and issue of the product being delivered. Carriers without an appointment will not be refused, but will be delayed until the receiving schedule permits an unscheduled delivery. In order to process your product expediently, please continue to inform your carriers of these requirements. Finished Inserts Should be Delivered To: Quad/Graphics, Inc.
